World’s leading micro-blogging platform, Twitter is all set to roll out a warning notification that will pop up as soon as a user reacts to a flagged tweet. This warning notification rolled out for the users when the current US presidential election took place. Twitter will send this notification as soon as the users will retweet or like a flagged/labelled tweet.
The company will roll out this functionality primarily on the iOS and Web first. Android devices will supposedly get this warning functionality in the upcoming weeks. Around 300,000 tweets were found potentially misleading and incorrect in the United States Presidential Election held from 27th October 2020 to 11th November 2020.

As per Twitter, 456 of these tweets had limited engagement features and were covered by a warning message. Users can see these misleading tweets and quote a tweet on it by tapping through the warning messages. Users will not be able to like, retweet, and reply to a flagged tweet on Twitter and such misleading tweets shall not be recommended by the platform.
