Spotify will now allow users to customize the playlist covers on the app. Both iOS and android users can customize cover pictures as well as descriptions to their playlist covers on the Spotify app now. Earlier this option was limited to only desktop application but now it is going to roll out for smart phone users as well. This feature has started to roll out and both premium and free users on the Spotify app will be able to use it.
Users can customize their Spotify playlist covers on their smart phones by opening the playlist that they have created and clicking on the 3 dots for opening its menu and then selecting “Edit Playlist” option. The users can then proceed by selecting the default album picture or tapping on “Change Image”. Once this is done, users can either choose an existing photo from their smart phone’s gallery or click a new photo and use the same as a cover picture. After a photo is selected, the users will be asked to click on “Use Photo” when they are ready and provide a description for the playlist in the ‘Add Description” box placed below the chosen photo. The process will be completed as soon as the users chose to “Save” the photo.
Apart from enabling the users to customize playlist covers, Spotify will also soon be coming up with a ‘trim silence’ feature for allowing its users to avoid pauses in podcasts by choosing the option to skip it as and whenever they feel like.
