In recent years Microsoft has looked more than usual at its range of programs on the organizational and professional uses. The 2017 trend was kicked off by Microsoft Teams, a Slack competitor. Although it is clear that Microsoft has always concentrated on businesses, it is obvious that only lately, certain aspects of its approach seemed to have been retained and focused on improving its own experiences.
Microsoft is involved in Outlook, named Areas, with a brand new organizational role. The new tool was discovered over the weekend by Twitter users WalkingCat in a leaked video, and Outlook areas seem to prefer to allow customers to collect emails, notes, data, paperwork, scheduling appointments, and to – do listings in online fields. It seems like it will probably help university students or businesses organizing projects.
Microsoft only has formally revealed Outlook areas, but some have succeeded in entering the new service on the website of the company. Areas seem like an early instance of the Windows Fluid Workplace Architecture. Fluid takes the paperwork concept and transforms it right into a cloud app that many people can contribute with graphs, tables, textual and additional content. It is not clear whether Outlook Areas simply work on Fluid but it does seem to be like a perfect candidate for this.

Microsoft explains Outlook areas as an internet framework where ‘ collectively pulls your documents, emails and opportunities through the search phrases which you are using right in this segment. ‘The corporate company also teases that, ‘ in the upcoming releases, we will use AI to help you discover and group work artifacts to areas. We also asked Microsoft for additional information on Outlook areas but you can look at the intentions of the company early on in the above promotional video.
