WhatsApp recently rolled out mute videos option for its users. This new feature is currently launched for beta testers. WABetaInfo, a leading website that keeps a track at all the new features active on the beta build of this instant messaging application was the first one to spot the roll out mute videos option.
Users can take use of this new feature and mute videos prior to sending it to others. This option was not available on WhatsApp earlier but social media applications like Twitter and Instagram had it since a long time now.
Mute videos before sending option on WhatsApp application has been long awaited by the users. This new feature will work on videos that are recorded on the user’s phone as well as on videos that he or she has received as WhatsApp forwards. WABetaInfo put forth the introduction of this feature via sharing a screenshot of it that shows the tab where an individual can be seen editing the length of a video clip that he or she has thought of sending to his or her recipients.

An audio icon can be seen beneath the timeline of that screen recorded video and it is believed that this icon will allow the users to mute or unmute the video. WhatsApp is rolling out back to back new features for enhancing its overall user experience. Recently, Whatsapp has even rolled out Disappearing Messages feature for allowing users to send such messages that will disappear after a certain period of time frame.
