Whatsapp has come up with one of the most requested features of all times. Now whatsapp users will get the option to mute a silence certain group chats or individual chats forever. This feature has been already tested in the beta version and now it is supposed to be used in the stable version.
This amazing news was very recently shared by Whatsapp on its official twitter account. The forever mute option is one of the most awaited features and it’s now available in the Whatsapp chat settings. Earlier whatsapp users had the option of silencing a whatsapp chat for either of the time period, 8 hours, a week, or a year at a whole. With the introduction of the “always” option, you can simply mute a chat of your choice forever. The addition of the “Always” mute option replaces the “one year” mute option. Now users can choose to silent group and individual chats for a period of minimum 8 hours to forever.
All you will need to do is open the chat/s that you want to silence forever and click on its chat settings. After selecting the chat settings, you will need to click on the “mute notifications” option and then choose “Always”. Even though you get to mute a chat forever yet you can still choose to receive whatsapp notifications for that particular chat. If you wish to receive notifications without chat alert then you can simply select the “Show notifications” option.

The “Always” mute option can be undone at any point of time. You can unmute a chat by simply opening the chat and selecting the settings option. A drop down appears as soon as you select settings and from the list of all other options you can simply select “Unmute” notifications. Apart from the “Always” mute option, Facebook-owned- Whatsapp has also added In-App Purchases and Facebook hosting solutions for enabling sellers to directly connect with their targeted customers.
