Apple Company is currently focusing on changing the way it tests its iOS software updates. According to Bloomberg reports –The California based company is recently going to reveal some major changes internally that entail the company using software built-in daily builds of iOS in an effort to stabilize its future releases. The change would allow Apple’s experienced developers to include certain changes into beta versions of iOS 14 update that inside testers could then reveal on, thus this move is allowing Apple to better separate any bad code of line in the update.

As per the reports by Bloomberg, this update will certainly bring changes in the development and internal testing phases. This new development procedure will help the company iOS versions to be more practical, or habitable, in Apple devices. Before the launch of the iOS 14 update in the marketplace, some teams would continuously add features that weren’t fully tested at the initial stage, while other teams would add changes weekly after the complete testing process. “Daily builds were like a recipe with lots of cooks adding ingredients,” a person with knowledge of the process said.

Bringing changes in the development process is something that major tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and many others have been using for years to isolate and check changes in Windows, Chromium, and other software products. At present Apple is testing all its software, including macOS updates, because iOS 13 has been a huge mess since its introduction in the marketplace. Soon after the release of iOS 13 in the market, Apple has released back to back 8 updates to iOS 13 in just two 2 months of time. These updates were introduced by the company in order to resolve a variety of errors and bugs like crashing of the app, visual glitches, incomplete areas of dark mode feature, and even missing some of the important features. iOS 13 updates of Apple was in such a dreadful situation that the California based company reportedly considered the 13.1 updates as the “actual public release” for the device that later came into the market after 5 days of iOS 13 release.

However Bloomberg has not revealed closely what will be part of iOS 14 update, but the work of making this update bug free is clearly in progress for Apple’s mobile operating system. This step is clearly showing that public beta versions of iOS 14 will be more stable than any other update. This move taken by the company is not the first time that has focused on performance, bugs, and stability with iOS.

As we know that every year iPhone arrives with a new device and new iOS update, and it often feels like the Operating system and its features have been shifted to make it to these fresh devices every time. It is time to conclude this session as we know that the company has done these types of changes before its software update. For now, we have no doubt that the company is soon going to pull off a refined release with iOS 14 and other future Operating system updates. Though, we would not be shocked if the software will still lack the quality with iOS 15. To resolve this issue Apple needs a major change in how it plans for its software updates.
