LONDON- Twitter and Facebook are being censured over a failure to perform sufficiently fast to handle a wave of racial abuse indicated at Black colored England footballers following the loss to Italy in the Euro cup final. Jado Sancho, Bukayo Saka, and Marcus Rashford were the torrent aim of racist comments on the vital social media platform after England fail to win over Italy on Sunday. The three players consecutively missed penalties in a 3-2 shootout and loss to Italy.
The governing body of the Football Association sentenced the abuse on Sunday night in a statement, opining that “appalled by the online racism that has been aimed at some of our England players on social media.” On Twitter, the association said that “we could not be clearer that anyone behind such distinguish behavior is not welcome in following the team.” They also added, “we will do all we can to support the players affected while using the toughest punishments possible for anyone responsible.”
The reaction of racists outlined the huge amount of abuse on various online social media platforms and arisen questions over whether tech organizations are giving enough support to fight it. Numerous leading British sports athletes and teams have already boycotted Instagram. Twitter, and Facebook over a weekend in April to show their protest against the organization’s failure to sweep out all sexist and racist posts.
