The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched a new web portal and mobile app, e-Sampada, on December 25, 2020. The platform will boost transparency and accountability while assuring ease of living for the citizens of India.
The inauguration was done by Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25, which is commemorated as Good Governance Day.
The Union Minister proclaimed the launch of e-Sampada as a significant step towards the promotion of e-governance for boosting transparency and accountability in providing different estate services such as regularization, retention, allotment, no dues certificate, among others. The platform has been developed by the government to simplify and bring uniformity in the systems across India. The app and web portal is also expected to promote ease of living for the Indian government’s officers or departments as it will provide a single online platform for easy access to all services. Through this platform, the real-time information on the delivery of service and utilization of assets will promote the maximum utilisation of resources.

The web portal and the app has a personalised dashboard and offers real-time status on license fees or dues. Through this online portal, users will be able to make cashless payments and will be able to access the visual experience of services and give feedback online. Users can even use the online portal to file complaints, appear for the virtual hearing, and submit documents as and when required. The app and the website also show activity log and service level benchmarks for the officials to ensure better accountability.
