National Informatics Centre (NIC) released Sandes an alternative Indian form of WhatsApp and other messenger apps. This communication platform is an advanced form of the existing messaging platform Government Instant Messaging System (GIMS) that was build up to serve government employees with a communicative WhatsApp-like messaging app.
An individual user and the Government officials both can access this Sandes app for their convenience to set up an end-to-end encrypted communication. Additionally, we can get a clear indication that now users will have the opportunity to message in Hindi. Through this application, we can receive and send messages, and even we can also share our gallery including videos, images between existing contact. This app also enables users to share their contacts and can chat within a group.
In order to make this app a unique one, it comes with more extra features like it provides users the freedom to broadcast messages or can mark some messages as their favorite. Furthermore, intel is coming into ears that another exclusive app by the Government will be launched namely Samvad, an app for conversation is also on the working list. All these apps might bring a revolution in Indian messaging culture as these are entirely developed by the Indian Government to make sure an alternative of WhatsApp like an instant messaging app.

The iOS users can avail of this app in the App Store and you can run this app on numerous versions including iPhone, iPod, iOS 12, and iPad too.
