The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk stated on Sunday that the organization will resume again bitcoin transactions when it confirms there is affordable clean energy usage by miners. As Tesla will accept Bitcoin again, He said that, while there will be a confirmation of affordable (~50%) clean energy application by miners with the upcoming trend, Tesla will again start enabling bitcoin transactions.
Musk was responding to comments from the CEO of South Africa asset manager Sygnia, Magda Wierzycka, who opined that Musk’s bitcoin prices tweet was “market manipulation” and need to have triggered the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation. In an SEC filing, Tesla disclosed that it bought $1.5 billion in the value of bitcoin and stated it would start accepting bitcoin as a payment path for its products.
