In a couple of situations, like introductions with humans, robots can’t move easily. Calculating a standard response time of a robot and recognizing stimuli takes a boatload of time for computation and that minimizes the reaction time. But in the robomorphic computing method scientists have used the physical layout and a calculative application to produce a customized chip that reduces the reaction time of a robot.
