Apple is planning to involve in a new policy to uplift the export system of India regarding computer devices, smartphone devices, etc. They are targeting to usher iPad tablet production in the South Asian country and India will play a key role to progress this scheme.
The Indian Government escalates its effort to encourage electronics devices production and last year they have invested $6.7 billion (Rs. 48,690 crores approximately) amount as a booster for smartphone manufacturing and exports. This determined scheme of the Government making a way for the youth to showcase their talent and create jobs.
On the other hand, Apple has gradually increased their manufacturing unit of iPhone gadgets in India and reducing the dependency on Chinese production firms. In order to enhance the IT growth of the country, the Government is planning to reveal another inducement to handle local production of IT devices such as laptops, tablets, and servers. All these three items are under serious consideration to develop more and export more according to the objective.
The all-new released performance-linked incentive (PLI) policy, which serves cash-back offer to the export producers, will get around Rs. 7,000 crores for the upcoming five years. According to a reliable source, it is expecting that, this going to launch at the end of February. Apple is lobbying with other brands for a huge budgetary outlay near Rs. 20,000 crores before it finalized the plan. India yet not have that supply chain or scale for quick IT devices making and participates with easy duty-free imports of the latest tech devices.
