As the hiring of IT, employees are at peak and every business sector is eyeing for mid and senior level employees. Owing to this move, e-commerce and other startups are looking forward to hiring new employees. For this reason, supply chain and technology experts are much in demand, because they know how to support and expand the business.

According to TeamLease Research, the high demand for experts is expected to push up reimbursement levels. The e-commerce sector is predicted to add over 44,000 new jobs in the middle of this financial year. Various companies like Byju’s, Swiggy, Oyo, and Zomato, are set to slope up their teams by 25 percent this year.

Rituparna Chakraborty, co-founder, TeamLease Services said that -“Salaries are moving up as the talent that the e-commerce and startups seek is in short supply. Wages, in some cases, are more than that of an entry-level engineer,” she said.

Various companies in the US are open to hiring freshers as well. Additionally, some startups are planning to establish their offices in various parts of the world to expand their global presence. However, the salary hikes that experienced positions will get is reportedly 20%.

In addition to various food and e-commerce startups, the leading online marketplace Snapdeal is also planning to build up its technology team. From the next year, the company is likely to appoint more than 120 engineers in its team.

To make the list more worthwhile even the Zomato food delivery app too has entered this list and has made some worthwhile discussions for its company. Zomato is hiring technical experts for its new geographies locations. Even the company has already doubled its engineering team in the precedent year and will keep on investing greatly in technology.

“Gig economy employees, may it be first- and last-mile logistics, warehousing, transportation support, etc, will continue to be critical hiring for most companies going forward,” said Ankur Pahwa, National Leader – E-Commerce and Consumer Internet, EY India

Furthermore, the food delivery app Swiggy has hired a lot of management and senior roles in the previous year. The list includes COO, CEO, CFO, VPs and the COO for its news business supply chain line. “We have grown our teams locally in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Overall, our employee count has increased by 3x times in the last 12 months,” said a Swiggy spokesperson.

In a nutshell, we can say that various food delivery apps platforms are looking forward to experienced candidates for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science services to expand their business in the business delivery industry in an efficient manner.
