Finally, it is that time of the year when Apple hosts a launch event to announce its latest additions to its iPhone lineup. This year, Apple is expected to launch new hardware at the “California Streaming” live event. The iPhone 13 launch date is September 14, according to Apple’s event invite. This means we might see the iPhone 13 launch along with the Apple Watch Series 7 and the AirPods 3.
So, what is in store for fans? As far as iPhone 13 predictions go, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the upcoming iPhone 13 series could come with the ability to connect to satellites to make calls, when regular network service providers were not within range – however, this might not be available in all countries even if Apple does launch such a feature. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 is likely to sport a larger battery, as well as faster charging on both the wired and wireless charging front.
Other reports about the iPhone 13 series suggest that it could come with a faster chip, improved displays with high refresh rates, and other improvements. However, all of these reports, including the one that states the phones might come with a fingerprint scanner (Touch ID) in addition to Face ID, must be taken with a pinch of salt, as Apple has not divulged any details about the hardware, yet. Users can also expect to see the launch of iOS 15 at the event, which will bring several features to Apple’s recent devices.
